Q. What is a digital art?
A. For Kbean, it is any original creation of work-of-art in digital form. It also is recreation or transformation of work-of-art in other forms to digital form. It may be expressed through, but not limited to, digital images, digital moving images, videos, audios, photographs, graphics, or multi-media art.
Q. What is a Primary Market?
A. The Primary Market is the initial sales market where artwork is sold. An artist or seller upload the artwork and buyers may acquire one or more editions of the artwork. See Section 2 (b) “Primary Market” in our Terms and Conditions.
Q. What is a Secondary Market?
A. The Secondary Market is a sales market where the previously purchased edition of an artwork(s) is sold. A user who previously purchased editions of artwork on Kbean platform then resells the editions on the Kbean platform. See Section 2 (c) “Secondary Market” in our Terms and Conditions.
Q. What is Kbean’s service fee?
A. Kbean has a service fee, and the fee structure is different depending on the nature of the sales. See Section 18 “Service Fee” in our Terms and Conditions.
Q. Does Kbean have a membership program?
A. The more you sell, the more benefits you would receive. The membership status is determined by your yearly sales amount starting the moment you reach the amount and continues to the following calendar year.

*note: If you resell editions of an artwork (Secondary Market) the service fee is 20% of the transaction amount regardless your membership status.
Q. When do I get my payment?
A. If you sell a new artwork (Primary Market), the total amount(s) accumulate in your account. Every two weeks the cumulative amount will be processed to your Paypal account. If a seller sold edition s that was previously purchased on Kbean platform (Secondary Market), the seller will receive payment without two weeks hold after the buyer’s purchase. Please note that payment clearing time to seller’s Paypal accounts may vary.
Q. How do I receive the payment?
A. Through your Paypal account. Please make sure you provide complete and accurate information in case Paypal makes inquires about your activities on Kbean. Please be aware that Paypal may hold your income for a period of time. We cannot control the actions of Paypal, their holds, or provide assistance in breaking such holds.
Q. How is pricing handled?
A. Kbean is an open and transparent marketplace where the seller of artwork may set their own price per edition and total number of editions to be issued from the art. See Section 17 (a) “Pricing” of our Terms and Conditions.
Q. Who is buying my artwork?
A. Anyone in Kbean marketplace. There will be multiple people who may purchase and enjoy your artwork. Even other artists may buy your artwork. See Section 2 (f) “Buyer” of the Terms and Conditions.
Q. Can I withdraw my artwork sales?
A. For Primary Market sales, generally no withdrawal of the artwork will be permitted. For those selling their editions on the Secondary Market, they may withdraw those editions at their discretion. See Section 17(d) “Withdrawal” of the Terms and Conditions.
Q. What if no one buys my artwork?
A. For Primary Market sales, if there is no sales activity for a certain period of time, the system will automatically close your sales. For Secondary Market sales, you can take down your sales at any time.
Q. Can I edit once a sales request is submitted?
A. You can save your draft and continue to revise your sales form. However, once submitted to Kbean marketplace, no one can edit it including yourself. This is a security measure where your sales record that’s published to the marketplace is kept secure.
Q. What is a Kbean Select artist?
A. Kbean respects artists who devote themselves to time. We want to find artists who have completed their own worlds through their lives and share with you. Kbean loves an artist who goes the way no one else has. Kbean supports artists who are not afraid of new attempts to continue their work. Accordingly, Kbean has carefully curated a number of artists whose style, innovation, flair, and passion merit the title of “Kbean Select”.
Q. How can I become a Kbean Select artist?
A. This is a status selected through research by the curatorial team of Kbean. If you want to be considered, please email your portfolio (including at least 3 series of topics, 10 or more works for each series) and the artist’s statement in PDF format to support@kbean.com. Those considered for selection will be notified within 14 days after review.
Q. How do I protect my copyright?
A. Kbean secures your copyright by using innovative cryptography technologies (i.e. Blockchain) to ensure an accurate and completely auditable trail exists, preventing fraudulent activity.
Q. Is my artwork licensed
A. Yes, once you upload your artwork into the Kbean platform and submit it for sales, it is automatically subject to the Kbean’s limited license. Every time an edition of your artwork is sold, this license is transferred with the edition and the buyer is subject to the Terms and Conditions.
Q. What about variations in my artwork?
A. Kbean only licenses and protects the artwork that was uploaded to the Kbean marketplace. Variations or the same artwork that exist elsewhere potentially violating the Terms and Condition, or being sold by other entities will not be protected.
Q. What artwork does Kbean not accept?
A. In general, we believe artists should be able to explore their worlds, passions, and inspirations. However, we reserve the absolute right to remove artwork promoting or glorifying violence, political agendas, and illegal activity.
Q. If I am a commercial entity who represents at least one artist such as a dealer, gallery, or representative, can I sell the artists’ artwork?
